I hate Maya. I hate 3D.

So, yeah, I've recently found out I DO. NOT. LIKE. MAYA. Or 3D art in general. Can't stand it, and I'm kinda stuck with it. Bit of a generalized Game Art program, you see, so I gotta learn it. But I hate it. I'd much rather just color. Or make textures. Or draw backgrounds. Concept art. 2D stuff. Not 3D.
I'm aiming to be an Environment artist, not a modeler, not a rigger. I mean, sure, gimme a model and I'll be happy to color it for you, do some texture mapping. Even better, let me mold the world with a world builder, or make textures for the grass, the mountains, the houses. That's what I like, that's what I wanna do.

I've just finished the damn Prop in Maya, for 3DF class. We're supposed to be working on the animation now. So I'm a Character Model and a Rig behind the actual class. Sounds like a small thing, but it's not. Try it yourself, you'll see. And I'm no good at it. I can't understand the prof's, nor the tutorials.
